Letter from the Secretary-General

On behalf of FMA College, it is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the second edition of IDA Model United Nations Conference. This prestigious event will be held in the historically significant and culturally rich city of Çanakkale known for its pivotal role in the Gallipoli Campaign and its proximity to the ancient city of Troy, providing a remarkable setting for simulating the United Nations between 9th to 11th and 13th to 15th of February 2026.

IDA MUN aims to emulate the work of the United Nations by providing a platform for delegates to engage with pressing global issues. This year, our conference will feature eight committees: NATO, the United Nations Security Council, the United Nations Human Rights Council, and the International Olympic Committee for our senior delegates; and UNESCO, the World Health Organization, the Disarmament and Security Committee, and UNEP for our junior delegates.

Covering topics ranging from the impact of artificial intelligence on international security to the protection of cultural heritage, the rights of refugees, and the challenges of climate change, delegates will be invited to debate and collaborate on solutions to some of today’s most urgent questions. Guided by our distinguished team of members and experts, you will navigate the complexities of UN procedures, engage in meaningful discussions, and refine your skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and problem-solving.

We hope this conference provides both a significant learning opportunity and a memorable experience. We are honored to be part of your journey in exploring new perspectives and shaping future solutions. Your participation is invaluable, and we believe your ideas and contributions will leave a lasting impact. On behalf of FMA College, we warmly welcome you to IDA MUN 2026 and look forward to an inspiring and unforgettable conference. #EmpoweringVisionsInspiringFutures
